Land Surveying Services.
Our experience encompasses a broad range of surveying disciplines. Examples include topographic survey, internal and exterior measured building surveys, GPS, and arboricultural surveying.
Survey work can range in size from small plots for an single development, to a 100 hectare site for Industrial Development. Types of survey can include roads, pipelines, housing developments and street surveys for traffic schemes.
Digital Data Capture.
Our primary method of recording data in the field is using Real Time Kinematic (RTK) GPS technology. This form of data capture is the most economic and accurate way of producing a survey. The main advantage is that no lines of sight are required, allowing the surveyor to move from area to area without having to reset survey instruments. Benefits are speed and cost savings.
Our secondary tool for data capture is Electronic Distance Measurement (EDM) technology in the form of standard or reflectorless Total Stations. Such instruments provide measurements for three-dimensional co-ordinates, the resulting information being stored electronically via an on-board Data Logger.
Digital Data Processing.
Once the field portion of a survey is complete, the data is downloaded in the office for manipulation and quality control checks. An accurate digital model of the terrain and feature location is created at this point and annotation is added using AutoCAD™.
